High Precision CC/CV Primary-Side Controller

一、General Description

The PN8232 is a high precision CC/CV primary side controller, specifically designed for a high performance low power AC/DCcharger and LED lighting with minimal external components. PN8232 operates in primary-side sensing and regulation, soopto-coupler and TL431 could be eliminated. PN8232 offers complete protection coverage with automatic self-recovery featureincluding Cycle-by-Cycle current limiting protection (OCP), over voltage protection (OVP) and feedback loop open protection(OLP), over temperature protection (OTP) and short circuit protection etc. In CC control, the current and output power setting canbe adjusted externally by the sense resistor Rcs at CS pin. In CV control, PFM operations are utilized to achieve high performanceand high efficiency. In addition, good load regulation is achieved by the built-in cable drop compensation.
